Community Tasting Notes 1

October 1, 2005 - Wine: 1996 Moschioni Pignolo Colli Orientale di Fruili 14.5%

    Date: October 2, 2005

Color: Exceptionally dark opaque garnet/black color.

Nose: Beautiful mixture of blackberries, plums and flowers among which I could only discern violets.

Palate: Big taste with strong but integrated tannins. Stewed plums, earth, red cherries, red plums and the slightest Campari hint. Excellent complexity.

    Score: 50+5+12+17+8=92

Other remarks: Still very young and believe this one will really be a beauty in 5more years. Euro 55 at Ristorante Da Gigetto in Miane, Veneto. What a cellar this restaurant has!
