September 30, 2023 - An exceptional tasting experience. The wine presents a medium golden hue, leading to a compelling nose dominated by kerosene notes, a characteristic I really appreciate in aged Rieslings. On the palate, there's a softness accompanied by hints of citrus fruits, spices, and phenolics. The finish lingers, with a touch of residual acidity still making its presence felt.

April 13, 2023 - The 2002 Grosset Watervale Riesling, with over two decades of bottle aging, now exhibits a pleasant light straw color. Aromatically, the wine reveals the typical kerosene notes, a hallmark of aged Riesling, along with lemon and mineral nuances. On the palate, the wine is smooth and balanced, showcasing citrus elements, green apples and a touch of zesty lime and wet slate, which add complexity to the flavor profile. The finish is long and persistent, indicating that this wine has aged gracefully and is still enjoyable at this stage in its development.

November 23, 2019 - From a great vintage in the Claire Valley, this wine is still vibrant and youthful. Mid green golden colour, the kaffir lime nose is almost hunter semillon like, but then the citrus and pine sap hits and its all Riesling from there. Lovely palate of slate with a hint petrol and lemon pith/lemon curd. Ageing slowly under screw cap, two left for 2022.

March 3, 2019 - Lustrous lemon, lovely sheen. Youthful.
Zesty citrus, punchy almost smokey minerality, a hint of lemon curd.
Citrus fruits, lemon and lime, quite tart. Fruit is soft and a little faded, acidity is to the fore. Lost too much of its warmth and weight, just too dry now.
