December 28, 2013 - Classic NZ Wine Trail - Martinborough (Martinborough): nice bright garnet with purple hue, just a little dark. cherry and strawberry flavour, highlighted acidity, more pinot noir style rather than syrah. actually, it's handled in Pinot way. mild pepper still shows variety's characters. delicate tannins, medium body, smooth and elegant structure. long finish with spice and savoury. an interesting and fabulous Martinborough Syrah!
