July 19, 2021 - Prior bottle was eight months ago and this wine continues to show quite well. Red cherry and red berries on the nose along with floral qualities. A bit above medium bodied with open and expressive black and red cherry upfront, adding some black raspberry notes through the middle. Light spice notes on the back along with good acidity, tart red cherry and balanced tannins. Overall, the fruit is showing extremely well, the wine has a silky elegance about it and the balance is a strength throughout. Drinking well now and in a style that should be able to hold this level for at least another 18+ months.

December 4, 2020 - Backup Thanksgiving wine, and wow! This was singing after about 20 min. Smooth red fruits with both power and finesse. This is in a great place. Could go longer, but why wait.

November 26, 2020 - Black raspberry, red cherry, spice and floral notes on the nose. Between medium and full bodied with a combination of black cherry and black raspberry both upfront and through the middle. Adds tart black cherry with some red cherry highlights towards the back along with balanced tannins. It evolved positively over the course of almost three hours open and between that and how the tannins and acidity presented, this wine has a good amount of life ahead of it. The mid-body in particular was quite impressive with depth, marked by an almost effortless elegance. This wine shows its fruit to the best effect without going over-the-top. I will open my next bottle in June/July 2021.

October 5, 2020 - More subdued than many Lato Pinots, likely because it is older than most that I drink. Subtle dried cherry and raspberry, blood orange, roses, and earth. Has a fresh brine element that adds lift and freshness. The tannins are resolved here so no need to wait. It probably was better a few years ago, but it is still quite nice.

July 31, 2019 - Really beautiful stuff. Dark fruit in a package that would not have led me to pinot noir blind. Such quality, finesse and balance.
