November 29, 2022 - Not decanted. This was the inaugural vintage from this estate (the estate only produced its own wines from 2011-2014). This vineyard is planted to three unique clones: Calera, and two special “suitcase” clones from the Vosne-Romanée region of Burgundy. Winemaker is Matt Taylor (formerly Domaine Dujac, Joseph Swan, and Araujo). 14.0% alc., pH 3.78, TA 0.54, <500 cases, $70. 25% whole cluster. Aged 10 months in 40% new Remond French oak barrels. This vineyard was the source of the grapes for the Peter Michael Pinot Noir Le Caprice in 2007 and 2008 as well as Aubert and Sojourn Pinot Noir. A rich texture with Cranberry, cherry and spice notes. Medium to full bodied. 92 points.

November 25, 2022 - Annual Friendsgiving Gathering (M/M thelostverse): Popped and poured, courtesy of VM. Cherry and spice, quite a bit bigger and slightly riper than the preceding WesMar but very likable. Cherry and baking spice on the nose and palate. Lengthy finish.

November 11, 2022 - Cherry, raspberry, chocolate. Delicious on its own.

July 24, 2019 - Was a little concerned at first, as the cork came apart easily as I tried to open. But it was simply due to a high fill line. The wine is lively and really good. Lots of life left in it!

November 3, 2018 - Nice balance of fruit and earthiness with chocolate and leather notes. Balanced tannins for a smooth and satisfying finish.
