September 23, 2013 - Really quite nice. No score, but surprisingly alive. And I'm not a huge aged bordeaux fan.

March 16, 2012 - Surprising good, considering it was past its best before date.

April 18, 2009 - This really stacked up well. Nice and fresh on opening. A couple of previous bottles have been rather course and a little tannic but this was smooth smooth smooth. Medium weighted, fresh berry on the nose and mid-palate. Plenty of weight followed it which surprised a little but the real departure from the previous bottles was that it had a really fresh finish. Nice work.

March 27, 2007 - Solid if not particularly memorable or distinguished glass of claret. Surprisingly intact for a 12 year old Canon-Fronsac. A slightly reticent nose with red fruit, graphite, tobacco and minerals, but you have to tease them out. A little on the thin side in the mouth but keeps its act together enough that it's perfectly welcome as a Tuesday night dinner guest. But after several hours there isn't a lot of evolution, which leads me to declare, as Miss Peggy Lee once asked, "is that all there is?" Or is it Alfred E Newman I should be quoting?
