  February 10, 2019 - Aroma is a sweetish blackberry and blueberry. Tastes of blackberry and citrus. Finishes with the citrus and berry. Good but may be beyond its prime time.

  July 21, 2018 - Dark purple, but clear. Less rim variation than expected for a wine 7 years old, and almost no sediment detected. Medium legs. Aromas are dark fruit and wood-dominant:blackberry, raspberry, black currant (cassis), raisin, medium toast, vanilla. Less distinct are: black pepper, eucalyptus, soy sauce and molasses. On the palate dark fruits remain and spice emerges more prominently. Smooth, silky texture, medium body, medium acidity. Medium to long finish. Tasted over 4 days with minimal fading. At $26, QPR is slightly below average. Drink now.

  March 31, 2015 - Not a fan of this at all, as my bottle was much closer to Chester100's note than the other 2. Very austere, with very little perceivable fruit, instead mostly tart and acidic. After 30+ minutes in the glass it took on an unappealing smoky aroma and a taste of acetic acid. Putting it down as a "flawed bottle", so no score. But I have 2 left, so perhaps eventually we'll see if it was just a bad bottle, or if this is now simply past its prime.
