Community Tasting Notes 10

  • Neecies Likes this wine:

November 23, 2018 - Leathery, peppery grenache fruit and herbs. Not falling apart or anything but probably better sooner than later.

  • Neecies Likes this wine:

September 12, 2017 - Each bottle has been better than the last but for me, this is peak. Wonderfully so. Light-medium red with hints of orange at the rim. On the palate, very harmonious notes of gently spiced strawberry-cherry fruit with butterhorn squash and a hint of herb.

  • Neecies Likes this wine:

February 7, 2017 - Lots of change in two years, all good. No longer beaujolais-ish but accurately representing it's 80% grenache heritage. Still a lighter bodied wine, but on point for strawberries and black pepper with some very light funk seeping in after an hour or so to make life more interesting. Superbly mated with seared scallops on frisee with a pesto vinaigrette.

November 24, 2015 - This bottle showed a bit more forward raspberry fruit than the last bottle and a more open finish. And a discovery: served lightly chilled from the wine fridge the fruit is sweeter and more delineated than at room temperature, much like a good Beaujolais.

  • Neecies Likes this wine:

November 14, 2015 - Somewhat exotic fruit like guava on cherry, with a prickly green note like cactus. Lighter bodied, not serious but good.
