Community Tasting Notes 9

June 16, 2018 - Similar to my experience 4-1/2 years ago with more maturity and complexity. Clear, bright pale gold color. Fully developed, complex aromatics showing medium aromas of minerals, smoke, dried white flowers, candied peach, poached pear, ripe melon, and nutmeg. Completely dry on the palate. Medium flavors of ashy minerals, juicy peach, poached pear, ripe melon, bitter almond shell, and nutmeg. Medium alcohol, medium plus body and medium minus acidity support a medium, but slightly bitter finish. I love the complexity, balance and intensity, but wish it had more length, less bitterness and more focus. Very good wine but should be enjoyed now as it is unlikely to improve with further cellaring.

July 10, 2015 - Similar to last note, should be drunk up.

June 18, 2014 - Reductive still or a whole lotta roussanne. Why do I keep coming back to these?

June 12, 2014 - A really peachy roussane vintage this year. And its either reduced or just a touch sulfury. Actually, we are feeling reduced as it blows off quite nicely.

June 9, 2014 - Peachy on the palate and very mineral, juicy and fleshy.
