March 21, 2009 - I got notes of burnt pine along with some nice cabernet sauvignon fruit on the nose. There was also a hint of tomato, and some distinct "green" scents. Stems perhaps? This wine was dusty in a good way, with notes of blackberry and a bright plum blast along the sides of the palate near the finish. The tannins are dominant though, and are not very well balanced with the rest of the wine making it kind of rough.

December 5, 2008 - Dark color. Aroma of tar and dark fruits. Flavor of blackberries and black currants. Long, spicy finish with restrained tannins.
