  April 3, 2016 - deep magenta; ultra ripe, more than a hint of cherry cola & stewed fruit, oaky yet not unattractive; bit of bruiser, thick, bags of glossy fruit, overlaid by sweet oak. Doesn't hide its light under a bushel, brash, but despite this enjoyable. Though, if served blind would have probably have reckoned it to be Barossa Shiraz. I assume this will age further, comfortably.

  July 13, 2014 - Aromas of strawberry, cherry, rose and a hint of cola. Flavors of cinnamon, strawberr and dark cherry. Decent finish. Leans more towards California than Burgundy.

  April 27, 2013 - ワイン会 (ミエル、横浜市戸部): Couldn't figure this one out. I like it and I don't. Quality is shaky, but also promising and above all: Interesting.
  Nose on this one differs from the previous tasters' experiences: We had glue (Karlsons Klister), industrial rubber and petrochem á la Riesling before we found the coffee and small amount of darker fruits. In the mouth this is going "every places" with pointy acids, M- tannin, rich fruit and dark aromas. Kind of exciting and well made, but also an unusual wine if you look at the composition. Picassoesque stilleben or just a mistake? We couldn't say.
  Would be thrilling to try it again in 3-5 years' time.

  April 8, 2013 - Mainly fruit sourced from the El Triángulo Estate, but with 10% of the fruit sourced the Campo Lindo vineyard in Casablanca. Aged in oak for 12 months.
  
  Quite brooding dark red with a little translucency. Contrasting the typical, explosively fruit-forward Cono Sur style, the nose here is more restrained and sophisticated with aromas of ripe and somewhat sweetish red fruit, some mocha notes, a little milk chocolate and a slightly manure hint of rustic Pinosity. On the palate the wine feels dry, complex and positively a little bit rustic and dirty, which is nice, but also quite broad, full-bodied and pretty modest in acidity, which is not. There are flavors of ripe red fruits and sweet raspberry juice, but also tart notes of cranberries and fresh lingonberries, with some underlying barnyard notes, a little smoke and sophisticated oak nuances of dark chocolate and complex spice. The tannins feel pretty low and gentle. The finish is rich and complex, but a little short with flavors of tart lingonberries, pepper-driven spice and some rustic barnyard notes. Only a restrained streak of sweet oak spice carries on for a long time.
  
  For a Cono Sur wine this is a really positive surprise: it is a characterful, sophisticated and harmonious effort for a Chilean Pinot Noir. Yet it is also very far removed from what I want from a Pinot Noir: despite all its positive qualities, it is also a very safe, unsurprising, too soft and excessively full-bodied for the variety. This is a step into the right direction, but still it is too voluptuous, extracted, ripe and oak-driven for me. Despite being a pretty serious effort for a Cono Sur wine, this wine really doesn't offer enough value for the price at 24,90€.
