April 8, 2017 - Dried cherry fruit, full and sweet in the middle. Lovely

August 24, 2016 - Healthy ruby colour. Opened up well with upfront Pinot fruit. Nice red fruit/Roundtree red gummies juiciness on the palate. Not too complex and shorter than desired finish.
More ready than the 03 Malconsorts I had a week earlier, with a few more years' life ahead. Very very good with minced beef and egg fried rice.

December 25, 2015 - Smooth, velvelty, fresh and vibrant. Very satisfying.

August 9, 2015 - This wine was a darker hue than I expected with a lot of mature red/dark hanging fruit. Secondary notes were prevalent with some mushroom/forest floor stuff going on. The cork was soaked and it looks like some seeped out during it's past - showed just a hint of a tawny note. Very good still.

October 29, 2014 - Having just finished a great, though rather evolved (even on opening), bottle of 2010 Blain Gagnard Volnay Les Pitures 1er opened a couple of days ago, I headed down to the cellar having decided to look at a 2003. What better than a Les Suchots, the heart of Vosne Romanee and typically reserved and not too powerful. How would 03 impacted on the climat?
First impression is primary ripe red fruit, 10 years and still a baby though big tannins are there to overpower the fruit, a balancing act. My thought is that the fruit is so youthful and sweet, almost Californian, it is a keeper. Day two update and the wine has not moved - a keeper.
