March 14, 2024 - Decanted for an hour. Gorgeous nose of dark fruit and violets with wonderful texture. Distinctly more complex than a bottle I enjoyed a few years ago. Captures that elusive blend of elegance and power, this is probably at it's peak and should sail along for several more years. Fabulous.

January 15, 2023 - Very rich and fruit forward but expressive character. Drinks much younger than expected. It definitely needs time in a decanter. Would lay it down another several years if possible

December 31, 2021 - Stunning magnum! Two hours to decant and drank over three hours. This wine aged beautifully. My friend was stunned that this was a Napa wine. This is a Bordeaux blend that is very atypical from this area. Merlot and Cab Franc blend. Viscous purple out of the bottle. Filtered into a decanter. Smooth tannins held together the dark fruit, violet notes with some beautiful spice, cedar prune and loam notes singing through a very long finish!

April 25, 2021 - Technically strong but overextracted and not well-balanced. More power than finesse.

January 23, 2020 - Took to a dinner with friends in Greensboro--didn't take notes but it was very enjoyable. The host thought it might be at its peak.
