Community Tasting Notes 7

December 6, 2021 - This is well made, Faiveley managed to do a beautiful Latricieres, quite an achievement in a cold year for a terroir that shines mostly in hot vintages.
The wine is clear in color, displaying a typical nose of cold clay, gun flint, a hint of sauvage pussy and of dark berries. The mouth feel is silky with dark berries and earthy aromas, with fine and melted tannins, fanning out in a mildly persistent finish. This is ready to be enjoyed. On day two, the wine faded away, so it can be drunk or kept, but I do not see the potential for dramatic improvements ahead.

August 8, 2020 - 93. Earthy raspberry, pure/crystalline medium ripe cherry with a little lean/green streak (but not off putting, and adding character to the wine)

September 15, 2019 - Pnp from magnum. Medium to lighter bodied. Cherry, leather, and forest floor. Fully mature with garnet color to the rim.

March 25, 2014 - 2014 La Paulee Grand Tasting, San Francisco; 3/15/2014-3/25/2014 (Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco): Medium body, bith darker cherry, good structure, still on the delicate side.

March 15, 2014 - La Paulée de San Francisco 2014 Grand Tasting (The Fairmont, San Francisco): Fresh and light red fruit nose; creamy and almost pasty, too soft, not crazy about this.
