July 26, 2014 - Loved it. Had no idea what it was, would have guessed something Rhone-ish. Much more full bodied than I would expect from a mostly Alvarinho, very round and lush. Good acidity. Drank only a bit colder than cellar temp and worked very well that way.

December 2, 2013 - When i tried it a few months ago it was sparer. it has the same oak & mineral partnership i initially liked, but it tastes now as though it has just begun its run around the bend towards yellow raisin dimension. Blast it out now, super-cold and its still triumphant, but its not to be aged. All for the grape-group here, but make this shit more acidic next year!

May 23, 2013 - Clos Saron Tasting with Gideon Beinstock (Flatiron Wines): Made from purchased grapes from an organically farmed vineyard on the East side of Lodi. Blend of Albarino, Verdelho, and Chardonnay. Whole-cluster pressed. Orange and melon fruit, rainwater, slight spritz at first, medium weight, good roundness to the nicely balanced fruit. Not the most profound wine but a nice drink.

May 11, 2013 - This was quite nice. I bought this. it's a blend of albarino, verdelho and chardonnay. No one grape stood out. Crisp and full-bodied. Nice fat midpalate and good finish. A slight waxiness. Lots of minerality. I get the feeling this really has the stuff to age, but I bought it to drink in the next few years.

April 5, 2013 - What a phenomenal wine. It's deep, sappy, and simultaneously very fresh and full bodied. The texture is beautiful and the aromas and flavors are redolent of green herbs, orchard fruits, and cured meat – it's fascinating stuff, and it pairs well with a huge variety of foods. 50% albariño and 25% each verdelho and chardonnay from Lodi (organically grown, naturally).
