August 13, 2013 - Third of three wines assembled by Giggs; they all were non-tannic and blended well. ... Cherry plum nose and toffee with a dust of chalk. ... some licorice on the palate with a smooth finish. No issues.

August 4, 2013 - Decanted 2 hours. This bottle had a slightly lower fill, though still well into the neck. The nose is more typical of Coonawarra: heavy cola, with licorice, kirsch, and fresh mint. With more time in the decanter, the nose picks up some charcoal smoke and Smarties candy. Palate is dominated by black cherry juice, dry black plum, firm acidity, with a tart, red fruit finish. Drink now-2015.

August 3, 2013 - Jordyn Against Humanity: Decanted 90 minutes. Surprising near-black color. Textbook old world style Cabernet nose, loamy, sweet tobacco leaf/humidor, red currants, graphite, well-integrated oak spice and chocolate, and balsamico notes. Mature, soft palate, medium-bodied, anise-edged dry plum, red currant, red and black cherry, balanced acidity, and a clean midpalate transition into the finish, which has resolved tannins. This is at peak now and should hold for another 2-3 years easily.

June 28, 2011 - Tight on opening but settles down soon after. Pepper and raspberries. Palette has smoothed out and is drinking pretty well. Perhaps another year left but don't leave it too long.

June 11, 2010 - Did not decant. Deep purple with some sediment. Slight corked nose and taste initially which blew off. Very fruity, a bit sweet with much tannnin. Fair balance, an average wine which needs to be consumered soon before cork takes over.
