April 2, 2024 - Early in the drinking window, needs ~2 hours of decant to open up. This rating will be 2-3 points higher in 18 months.

October 14, 2023 - Starting to enter its drinking window, still young!

May 3, 2022 - well, this seemed really really young with big / awesome acidity, I've given the bottle the benefit of the doubt with my 92 as I think this needs about 5-15 years to settle down... hoping the body / fruit is still there after it comes out from behind the structural curtain, if not this may not merit the 92 pts

December 25, 2021 - Deep ruby in glass. Medium plus intensity on the nose. Blackberry, cigar box, clove, violets and vanilla. Medium acidity and medium plus tannins. Long finish. Will wait at least 2-3 more years on my next bottle (preferably 5).

December 14, 2021 - Sent my wife to the cellar to pick something out to drink and she came up with a ‘13. Knowing that was too young, I went with her instinct but opted for a more mature version. This is drinking very well right now. Tannins are firm and well integrated. Initial lack of fruit on the nose which was dominated by earth and leather, but opened up within a half hour and displayed aromas and flavors of red and dark fruits along with leather, baking spices, cedar and wet earth. A pleasure to drink over two days, the second showing no apparent improvement. Nice acidity. I have another bottle which I’ll sit on for a year or two.
