    March 21, 2023 - Sombre red.
On opening reticent, austere, worryingly so, but a few hours air and this is subtle and understated, but such a complex melange of red fruits, Amarene, cherry stone, raspberries, violets, rose, limestone mineralite, dice, feminine, understated, but incredibly persistent, youthful and airy. Very nice, and the subtle complexity and persistence contrasts very much with the concentrated character of other wines I’ve had lately.

November 7, 2021 - 2/6 pale to mid ruby, a touch of garnet at the rim. Very fine and precise, porcellanous as per previous bottle. Puts on weight and shows some sweeter fruit after a lighter, more minerally start. Quite fragrantly floral. Very attractive. This is a slight step up on last year’s showing

September 15, 2021 - Contra my note from three years ago, this was a delightfully fresh and red fruited volnay with classic floral notes and some herb. I think this is at peak now and best in the next couple of years.

July 29, 2021 - Quite lean and hard! very unlike most other Dublere's in my cellar!

April 18, 2021 - Lean and pretty. Quite herbal, with some olive and green pepper notes. Not really a crowd pleaser at this stage, but quite interesting.
