November 29, 2023 - Piemonte: Truffles instead of Turkey; 11/23/2023-12/2/2023 (Barolo, Barbaresco, Alto Piemonte and of course Alba): Ah these wines. I love them and you see them less and less these days which is unfortunate. So very fun to find in Piemonte on the menu and just generally very interesting. This is a lovely wine. It was a bit cold to start but opened up with some time in the glass. A full style of champagne that just kept getting better.

November 27, 2022 - Piemonte: Back to the truffling!; 11/24/2022-12/3/2022 (Wineries and various restaurants): Used to see a ton of Cedric Bouchard around but the allocations seem to have dried up so it was fun to find on a list in the town of Barolo. 2019 disgorgement. This was very toasty, brioche, maybe a bit of butter. Light bodied though despite that. Drinks nicely. A bit of a crispness to it that needed to soften in the glass.

May 5, 2019 - Champagne - 100 Vintage and NV Champagne; 12/15/2015-12/15/2020: Really liked this bottle. Ripe nose with pine apple, brioche, blossom, white flowers. Sexy and aromatic palate with good freshness.

February 16, 2016 - Based upon 2009 vintage juice. Medium yellow, fine froth. Rich citrus nose. Medium weight but creamy, old vine texture. Lactic and yeasty, a bit of toastiness, ripe but leavened by terrific acidity for the vintage. Delicious bottle.
