  December 25, 2014 - Decanted for 4-5 hours while preparing Christmas Rib roast. Deep red-purple colored, dark fruit flavors, supple tannins and a nice finish.

  March 16, 2014 - My least favorite wine from a recent Cali Cab tasting. This, as Latour82 noted....is HUGE and not to my liking. But putting aside the, over the top scale of this wine, what was really disturbing was the noticable alc burn and heady aromas. Others will likely love this but I found it a mess and dumped about half of my pour. This is not, your Grandpas's Charles Krug. Shame, as I was looking forward to trying some recent wine from this Napa stalwart. I hope they go back to a more traditional style some day.

  February 2, 2014 - WOTN. Wow, huge huge wine. Mountain fruit with the classic sunburnt palate. Complexity goes for days - too many to describe with a big Med+ or Full finish lingering for 30 seconds. I'm sad I bought so few bottles, would love to be sitting on a case, but was happy that this wine finally went on sale and I got chance at it.
