August 10, 2022 - WWC Hosting (FWC): Wow - what a big wine. This is the 3rd or 4th bottle of this I’ve opened, and it seems to be the biggest yet. That is most likely because of the wines it followed, but even after a 4 hour decant, it needed food. And with beef short rib, it was singing. Very dark in the glass, strong, but not overpowering tannins, and loads of blue and black fruit on the palate. I do love this wine, and it has a long life ahead of it.

December 18, 2021 - Have not had for several years and the wine is now starting to open up. Popped and poured. Showing good structure with nice balance of fruit, and leather undertones. Feel that this can go another 3-5 years.

October 10, 2020 - Very closed and tannic. Grilled meat and herbs. Black tea. Will try again with more time to open up.

August 9, 2018 - Continuing to improve from my last taste 2.5 years ago. Also, had the 2012 last week, and this one is notably better. In its drinking window but still quite young. A really nice Syrah.

July 21, 2018 - Had been opened the day before, vacu-vined, and not refrigerated. Deep dark fruit, excellent balance, still young in its drinking window, and a big wine but not over extracted. I am surprised Andy does not get more recognition for his Rhone varieties.
