    October 3, 2022 - Amazingly good and in a great spot !!
Consumed with friends alongside other great Rhone varietals. Perfect cork after over a decade in the bottle. Dark burgundy color with no evidence of oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of blackberry, cherry, and Garrique. Flavors of rhubarb, black cherry, and rose hips with a hint of licorice with a long finish. A very balanced flavorful Rhone blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre from Amador County in the Sierra Foothills. This is an age worthy wine with more years of life left, unfortunately this was my only bottle of this vintage in my cellar. Great fruit and a great winemaking effort.

July 18, 2020 - Been five years, and this appears to have improved. My instinct is not much room for change from here with age. The finish is the best aspect of this bottle, though all is enjoyable.

November 17, 2019 - Drinking very well now. Rather balanced, with some sumptuousness to it.

October 20, 2018 - Pop and pour: it’s all bacon fat and iron. Very little fruit.

Two hours decanting: cherry, black and white pepper, vanilla and wood. Short finish. Very nice.

January 27, 2018 - Purple color with a bouquet and flavor of plum and cherries, with hints of black pepper. Good balance with some depth and a moderate finish.
Very pleasant wine which paired well with the roast cabbage and cod roe sabayon, and chicken broth in bread with onions and nasturtium, toward the end of a wonderful multi-course, small plates meal at the Restaurant at Meadowood in Napa Valley. Great service and beautiful décor.
