March 1, 2024 - Deep, clear red colour. Raspberry and strawberry on the nose with a bit of cranberry. Strong flavours of cranberry and strawberry - a bit singular. A bit underwhelming - not sure where this is going.

February 7, 2020 - Dense red colour. Raspberry and spice on nose. Clean and crisp. Flavours of cherry and tar. Enjoyable and drinking nicely.

June 1, 2019 - Popped and poured - should have read my own notes and kept my hands off of this - but was so tempting. Very similar to prior experience - this has great structure, but the tannins are still a bit too grippy for maximum enjoyment. All the right stuff is here but patience will be rewarded. Revisit after 2025.

January 6, 2019 - Deep red colour. Red fruits on nose initially changing to black fruits after an hour or so. Cranberry and cherry flavours. Fresh taste with a little acid bite at end. Slightly unintegrated - perhaps give a bit longer before next bottle.

September 27, 2018 - Charleston Offlineorama IV; 9/27/2018-10/1/2018 (Charleston, NC (various locations)): Second time trying an Alain Verset Cornas and I really think this is a great value in Cornas. The nose is classic rustic Northern Rhone feral aromas of grilled meats. Dark tart fruits with lots of black olive tapenade and bacon notes on the palate. Great acidity and still quite grippy tannins. Still very young, so perhaps will show best currently served with food. I would hold these for at least 5 more years before popping.
