February 28, 2024 - Acker "Paulee" Burgundy Dinner (Capital Seafood - Beverly Hills CA): Paulee style dinner. Much more exciting to me vs the Chambertin just tasted, this showcased a perfect combination of bold black fruits, roasted game, and cooked mushroom. So balanced and elegant.

September 25, 2020 - Served blind, and I guessed 99 vintage. This wine shows NO sign of its age. The aromas are majestic, guessed Vosne from rose petals and spice. Palate was sweeter and more dense than the aroma would suggest. Totally flabbergasted upon the reveal. Obviously this was a pristine bottle, and what a spectacular bottle it was. Close second tonight to the 89 Roumier Bonnes Mares.

February 6, 2019 - Starting to dry up on the finish, but reasonable depth remaining on the midpalate. Drink soon. 93-

April 13, 2018 - Coche and Rousseau Dinner (RPM Steak - Chicago, IL): Tasted in a 88/96/99 flight. Terrific lifted nose has savory, sweaty and meaty fruit with plenty of spice. Lighter fruit concentration but lots of energy and spice accents on the mid-palate. A bit short on the end.

April 13, 2018 - Coche-Dury and Domaine Rousseau Dinner (RPM Steak - Chicago IL): Opened alongside the 1996 and 1999. Black fruit with spice notes and earth. Good+ power, weight and length, perhaps slightly drying on finish. Not as good as a magnum from last month.

April 13, 2018 - Coche, Rousseau and more (RPM Steak): Good dark earthy black dried fruits with interesting mineral edge. A bit lean and dry showing some age, but offers up lots of pleasure too. My magnum served a month ago showed even better as I recall.

March 3, 2018 - Small glass, brief note. From magnum. Great, great aromas of dense black fruit and lots of spice that seem to connect perfectly. Aging nicely. Very long finish.
