February 26, 2008 - Still has some reasonably nice color. In fact its a very pretty ruby red with a core of purple. There is not a ton going on in the nose but its showing some reasonalble cassis and cigar box aromatics with maybe a slight touch of VA. Their is still some really nice sweet fruit on the palate as well as some soft tannins. Its much better than I had hoped.

December 10, 2006 - An excellent, virtually flawless meritage. The tannins in the front of the mouth were still holding strong, and the smoothness of age showed very well. By my guess, this wine is at peak - it should still be good for a couple of years. Like most Hess wines, drinks as if it were a much more expensive wine.
