  January 19, 2023 - Decanted briefly. Rich, deep red fruit with velvety tannins and mountain earth. This has aged beautifully.

  May 14, 2021 - Another Abreu wine brought by Edward tonight, a rare vintage and probably the only bottle in Shanghai! A very BDX wine with more explosive and showing off noses than Madrona Ranch 04, however with less elegant and expensive notes in comparison.

  July 24, 2020 - I didn’t give this any time to open up, surely it would benefit from an hour or two. A bit more chewy on the finish than I’m used to with Abreu, big dense ripe fruit and tons of finesse. Always very classy, but this one is still very young. Room for improvement with age or more air for sure, but delicious notwithstanding.

  August 11, 2018 - Slow O for 10 hours. The nose is now pruney and oxidized. I guess it had too much air. Palate is still broad full and enjoyable, but this was off. Maybe this was cooked? Perhaps bad Provence.
