December 31, 2021 - A very nice wine with interesting complexities. Had this from my friends cellar. Happily able to have a glass with a nice spaghetti dinner.

December 31, 2021 - Two hour decant, the nose is dark fruit, herbs, bacon fat. The palate is well done and well expressed, with baked spices, clove, flesh, firm tannins and slightly tart acidity. A full bodied mouthfeel with a longer finish, this has been in my cellar for four years, I will look for another vintage of this to buy and cellar.

June 25, 2021 - Fourth of four bottles. Consistent with prior note, and nose is expressive with inviting fruit.

Palate is just starting to develop mature tertiary tones and signs of age, and the existing freshness co-mingles wonderfully. Drink now.

January 20, 2020 - Bright lighter Syrah, modern style. Bramble, spice, dark plum. Youthful. A few hours in some earth and blood start to develop. Has some cinsault sensibilities with purple florality and violet, plus bright acidity alongside red apple flesh and skin. Great balance. Resolved chalky tannins, enough to give structure. Delicious.

October 26, 2019 - Very enjoyable. Masks the high alcohol very well. Still somewhat youthful. Ample bacon notes. Good balance of fruit and acid. Paired very well with lamb at Boulevard.
