November 11, 2023 - Opened at Le Cave des Remparts in Tokyo. P&P and enjoyed slowly.

Though this is the 'old' style of winemaking at Arnoux-Lachaux, this is still a good wine. Nice bouquet of red and darker fruits, smooth on the palate and going down easy. Vosne spice is there, and there's a decent finish. Good solid Burgundy.

For my tastes, I think this is in a good spot at the moment, and unlikely to get much better. However, this should keep at this level for a while.

August 22, 2020 - Deep, good concentration and purity. Sweet floral scent which evolved to mint leaf and some Asian spice. Black fruits on the palate with intermittent citrus fruit similar to the Chinese grapefruit. Long finish

April 16, 2019 - Cassis, plum, wet stones, violet aroma. Palate of blackcurrants, violet, grape skin with tinge of blueberry. Medium bodied. Broody and tea-like bitter finish. Fresh and energetic, no edges. Easy to drink. Enjoyable now.

September 18, 2017 - lovely mouthfeel, good finish. well balanced, nice fruit, good solid acids will show more over coming years but very good drink now

April 13, 2016 - A day in Burgundy- 4/4/16: Tasted at the domaine. Aromas of tea, sous-bois and fig- complex and aromatic. Lots of sweet spice notes on the palate- vanilla, along with fig fruit. Rich and layered, with fine tannins, and notes of spice on the finish.
