December 21, 2019 - Open from the beginning, black cherries, some earthy notes, nice salinity, middle density and length, very good for the level and the vintage.
August 22, 2019 - No notes taken. Side-by-side with the 2013, which I preferred.
April 13, 2017 - Leiden just before Easter: Such an elegant nose, spice, red fruit, lots of body but with a beautifull leanness, drinks so well, so balanced. Very fine, gorgeous.
March 1, 2017 - Nose a bit earthy, with cherry and mineral base. Palate still a bit tannic and tight, but the fruit was quite nicely wrapped with oak spice. Mineral aftertaste.
Can age longer too keep in track of its development, but can consume now with a 2-3 hrs of breathing.
December 19, 2016 - Weekly tasting group RWP #240: Burgundy 2011 (@ VD): Perfumed bouquet with raspberries and other red berries, some nuts, marzipan and a bit rustic. On the palate very juicy, ripe red and dark forest fruits, herbs, good acidity, some pepper, good acidity and slightly drying tannin. A clean and exiting wine with a good concentration. Very youthful and a good future of at least another 10 years.
September 8, 2015 - Charcuterie at Shelter in the Woods. Dark red, almost purplish like. This definitely showed the youngest of all the wines. Nose was quite intense - blueberries and blackberries, but with a worringly strong essence of oak, wood and smoke. Hard to detect the purity and elegance on this one. (Perhaps its just too primary). Palate had pomegranate, vanilla, black and blue fruit and caramel. Decent wine, but not at its current price point.
January 22, 2015 - Cecile Tremblay's 2011 Vosne AOC has really come together over the last year. A lovely bouquet of dark berries, raspberry and lovely Vosne spice opens up in the glass with great detail, and the wine has really gobbled up its new oak in the past twelve months. On the palate, the wine is broad and sumptuous (Tremblay seems to routinely achieve some of the most decadent textures in the Cote de Nuits), with nice sappy acids and a good core of ripe tannin. A very nice village Vosne which should really come into its own with another few years in the cellar.

August 29, 2013 - A complex blend of plums, black cherries and spices. The wine is medium-bodied, very refined and elegant with ripe tannins and great length. An outstanding Vosne village, approachable and delicious now! I want more …
