August 17, 2018 - This wine was dark ruby and medium intensity. This wine had medium intensity on the nose, with black pepper, white pepper, oak, vanilla, black fruit, tar, tobacco, and coffee. The wine had medium tannin with low acidity (higher acidity would have helped this wine). Enjoyed the wine with roasted "Hatch" (Anaheim) peppers, stuffed with ground beef, onion, hot chili peppers, and Monterrey jack cheese; covered in jack and Parmesan (cooked 1.5 hours @ 350F). The wine held up well. Overall, the wine is good quality, lack of complexity hurts it a bit.
