October 30, 2014 - Perfect young ruby red color. Nose is a bit unusual. Starts out straight from the bottle at 14 degrees Celsius with the way too familiar reductive 2011 character. Cherries, earth, wet forest and redcurrant also shows a lot. A bit green and overall not a very expressive nose. Herbal notes, magnolia. Not a fantastic nose. Palate is a bit simple. Acidic and one-dimensional. Sort of a balance is in there. Lots of fresh fruits and berries. Redcurrant, raspberry and cherries. But not a very good wine. Letting the rest of the bottle wait for tomorrow. Day two is much the same story. Perhaps slightly improved but not much. But as the evening passes this one wakes a bit more up! Acidity diminishes a bit and a weird balance emerges. Sour cherries and a bit drying tannins. Not much concentration, easy drinking and with a slight bitterness on the finish.

October 18, 2014 - Bonne structure pour un simple Bourgogne. Arôme de griotte et cerise au nez et bouche légèrement épicée.

January 13, 2014 - Tremendous. This is wine at it's best. This isn't loud obnoxious attention seeking wine, this is the type of bottle that compliments simple food and good company.
In the glass it is a very glossy clear pale ruby. The nose is perfumed with notes of untarnished cherries, strawberries, roses and perhaps a slightly medicinal character. The palate has bright acidity and very soft tannins - medium (-) at best. Perfect for early consumption. Purity and minerality are the themes - lots of top notes.
Will age but probably best in the short term. You know a wine is good when you smile writing about it.
