March 12, 2021 - Beautiful dark rich ruby color. Mint, eucalyptus, chocolate, vanilla, and mint on a really exotic nose. Tart, sweet, and sour. Pomegranates, cranberries, wild strawberries, spiced mulberries, and a chocolate-red cherry finish. I have never had a California wine like this. Fascinating and delicious.

December 25, 2017 - Nose is slightly muted. Surprisingly, there's almost no tannic grip on this, but a classic claret feel to it, cool climate fruit, some cassis and pencil shavings, good freshness, elegant. If more cabernet was like this, I'd be drinking more of it, for sure.

November 24, 2017 - Dense color. Big deep earthy cherry blackberry nose with fresh acidity. Smooth but edgy initial mouth feel with dark fruit building in acidity to a long, complex finish. Great minerality. Lighter than typical Cali Cab but light on its feet and vivid. I feel like I am getting a a light taste of underripe, or is it simply less ripe, stems and seeds. Drinking nicely but should easily evolve and remain interesting for 5 years. To me a very interesting red.
