December 11, 2014 - Monthly tasting club "The Tasting Club" 2014-06; South Africa: Shiraz. (@ RvD): Pure and clean bouquet with red and dark berry fruits, some cherry and white pepper. All comes back on the palate. Good balance between acidity and sweetness. Round tannin. Concentrated wine with a good length. Ready now and the next few years.

February 12, 2014 - Dorks syrah tasting, Vic's wine. Robust color, violets and leather nose, develops mint and a little roast beef with time in the glass. Big and old worldy but with a new world sweetness to the fruit. Not surprised it's South African. Great QPR @ $20 retail.
