    September 29, 2018 - PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs
    -dark red minimal edge clearing
-expressive jammy cassis and red berry
-med/med- acidity, med- weight though fairly expansive palate with faded dark berry bitter earth licorice, med chewy tannins and decent length
-decently complex and drinking well now, no longer fruit forward but still with quite a bit of life left in this bottle

September 17, 2017 - Nose is open and light with a fresh garden fell. Tastes of unripe blueberries with a hint of tartness along with the bell pepper edge and vegetal qualities I was looking for.

Finish is tannic and dry with an acidic flourish at the end.

A low quality but satisfying representative of French cab franc

January 19, 2016 - A very nice well balanced Cabernet franc This is a non-spoofed wine and will appeal to those who like Baudry or Olga Raffault

  • Cote d'Or Likes this wine:

    October 20, 2015 - PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs
-nearly opaque med dark red no bricking
-dusty, juicy black grape, faint undertone of candied raspberry and floral give way to a stony minerality
-surprisingly low profile with little acidity, med- weight but soft almost plush mouthfeel envelopes the palate with somewhat simple but rather deep earthiness and black licorice and abundant fine-grained tannins, slight medicinal quality on the average length finish
-pleasant and very interesting, has soul, suspect this has a few years of upside before peaking, nice value

March 4, 2015 - Nose: The nose is well balanced and fragrant with red cherries, bell pepper, leather, earth, herbs, and roses. The red fruit notes are slightly more pronounced, but not necessarily ripe.

Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity and silky tannins. The tannins emerge more with air along with a silky feel and red cherries, bell peppers, herbs, red fruits, and some earth.

Overall: This is a lovely Cab Franc. It's well balanced and shows a slightly riper side, but with elegance too.
