August 27, 2022 - Aged nicely and better than expected it would. Had with a pork potato casserole on a cool summer night and together it was quite good.

November 17, 2020 - Hour and a half decant, with a big nose of dark fruit and oak tones, the palate is filled with fine grained tannins and taut acidity that show the syrah well, the viognier also is noticeable on the tongue in particular. Longer in finish, this is ready to drink, no need to cellar any longer.

July 5, 2018 - Dinner out with family. Better than expected nose of boysenberry, crushed berries and a hint of eucalyptus (?). Solid mid palette in a classic GSM way. Great acidity and still some nicely rounded out tannins. Super with grilled rib eye and sautéed wild mushrooms. Well done!

July 4, 2017 - Drank with Mike, Judy, Marianne.
Still a great deal at the JJB price.
This paired very well with BBQ chicken and corn on the cob -- smooth and easy drinking.
