  May 10, 2018 - Last of four bottles, the other three of which I hated. This one is different. Nose has a prominent anise component, with black plum and cassis behind, all vaguely smoky. Palate follows, surprisingly not super tannic, just a port wine chewiness. I found the other three bottles disturbingly sweet; this one is quite dry though there is still sweetness on the nose. This is why wine is fun; also why you should take notes! I still don't love this wine, but it's interesting.

  October 31, 2017 - Perf,ect blending of tannins and fruit, good bouquet, long legs, several years left in this beauty. Long finish and out.

  September 30, 2017 - Really enjoyed this wine. Like a previous reviewer, I don't understand the low scores either. Medium bodied with cherries and some spice.

  July 31, 2017 - Wonderful wine. Can't quite understand the lower scores. Prune, cherry, wood, leather, black pepper. Rough, but in a good sense. Really liked it.
