February 7, 2024 - Medium colour. Nice bouquet, peaches. On the palate, pleasant and fruity, but a bit soft and without great complexity; I'd be looking for a bit more backbone in a white Hermitage. Best to drink up.

May 11, 2022 - First Wednesday Wine Club (Napoli in Bocca, Haberfield): Served Blind.
Medium minus intensity is meaty and slightly savoury, a little tomato leaf, lime, shows a little more fruit with time in the glass, honey. Medium plus intensity acidity, a little textured, muted fruit, alcohol warmth on the finish, butter, a little bitterness on the finish.
Got a bit confused here – mixed messages from the alcohol and bitterness vs the tomato leaf and lime on the nose. I went with a mis-managed Australian Chardonnay under cork from the early noughties. Oops

June 11, 2021 - So much better than the bottle I noted here in 2017! Served at 52 degrees, after leaving it open for 40 minutes. Nose flashes marjoram, furniture polish, beeswax, shortbread, pear liqueur. Vibrant richness without fat. Bitter lemon quinine, accacia honey, geeen papaya, fresh hay. Long, lively, edgy, open and inviting. Candied lemon zest and seville orange on the 30 second finish with lingering white minerality. Just perfect with Greek avgolemeno soup. Always thrilling to see white rhone evolve like this, at the start of its expected 5 year peak.

February 8, 2021 - Very nice bottle. Very typical with an emphasis on the chalky mineral flavors in this bottle. It needed about 30 minutes of air to really show its stuff.

January 18, 2020 - Initially very closed and discrete on the nose, when warming up, it got better and more characteristic, more sputhern with some garrigue. It has the beginning of the telltale bees wax structure, but one must wait for this, I think - it wil be better in five years.
