December 25, 2022 - For a 16 year old , this Chardonnay has held up remarkably well. The flavor was crisp, with lovely minerality and still substantial fruit. We had it with our cheese course before dinner; exquisite.

February 23, 2014 - some butter oak, decent acid. Nice starter wine

September 12, 2012 - My last bottle and the best showing of this wine. Honeyed notes of white peaches, kiwi fruit, and lemon custard. Picks up some caramel and walnuts on the mid palate. The finish is complex and reminiscent of Jura. Impressive from beginning to end.

January 29, 2012 - A little lemon curd and butterscotch with a hint of vanilla on the nose, really appealing--quite rich and fat. Seems to be a cross between a big California chardonnay and a Meursault from France. On the palate, quite viscous (due in no small part to the 14.5% alcohol), with the lemon curd really coming through. Great balance and acidity, even at this relatively advanced age. Really a wonderful wine.

December 4, 2011 - 1.5L bottle. we had one of the 04's about 6 mo. ago and thought it was well past its peak and was worried this big bottle would be too. this poured out with honey colored heaven. great mouthfee and a long finish. Flavors consistant with other notes.
