December 12, 2023 - Salon Ficofi Paris walkabout tasting and dinner, no detailed tasting notes. Blue fruit, polished, not much aroma. Did not stand a chance against all the good Burgs served.

July 10, 2021 - Wines to Accompany a Very Grand Barbecue (Alisal Guest Ranch, Solvang, CA): From a magnum. Such an expressive wine, still primary, and above all precisely defined, with loads of cassis, some blueberry, orange peel, licorice and muted floral notes, with just a hint of smoke. I have almost half left and look forward to revisiting tonight.
Updating for day two if of interest: still going very strong, with the fruit even more pronounced, and a bit of camphor has emerged as well -

March 24, 2013 - Barrel sample: Powerful nose of ripe red and black cherries, licorice, lead pencil, encens... huge concentration of ripe red cherries, loads of very very fine and silky tannins... great wine!!
