November 28, 2013 - Luminous, pale yellow-green color. Ripe, but a bit restrained nose with subtle aromas of red apple, pineapple, some floral tones and a hint of butter with an undercurrent of toasty, smoky oak. The wine is dry, round and moderately full-bodied on the palate with dry flavors of ripe red apple, apricot and pineapple. The creamy and slightly toasty oak is there, but remains in the reins of fruit. Moderately high acidity. The finish is quite long and a bit more oaky than the midpalate with flavors of fresh, tart apple, aromatic herbs, toast, some ripe apricot, a little bit of nutty spice and a hint of creaminess.
A quite ripe and round white Burgundy with fruit more in the rich, yellow-fruited end of the spectrum. The wine feels moderately oaky, but still retaining decent balance. Although I don't mind that richly fruited style of Burgundy, the wine could've used even less oak - even though it wasn't that overdone. Perhaps a few years in a cellar might tone down the wood character a bit? Although the wine shows moderately high acidity, I don't believe the wine is really meant for the long run. Enjoy in the next 4-5 years. Priced according to its quality at 9,19€ for a half bottle. -

November 13, 2013 - A bit reticent nose of pineapple. Dry on the palate, tight and acidic, rather closed, showing some vague fruit towards pineapple and citrus. Pretty mediocre for a white burgundy. Might need some time to blossom.

October 25, 2013 - Tropical Chardonnay nose with oak spice, some florals and diacetyl.
Dry on the pretty full bodied palate showing nice balance. Rich and tropical fruit expression with oak well under control. Slight nutty touch in the aftertaste.
Needed time to find better precision. Quite nice once it did, but still not the style of Burgundy Chardonnay I prefer.1 person found this helpful Comment -

March 24, 2013 - The color was clear with just a hint of yellow. There was no bouquet. The wine was bone dry with virtually no sweetness. There was a hint of fruit and oak. This was a very austere wine.
