March 10, 2018 - Quite a pleasant surprise as ordered at Caprice in Hong Kong; floral and fruity in the elegant nose; complex, fruity, and solid on the smooth palate with no sign of tiredness at this age; long finish still; overall, 93-94 points.

July 9, 2016 - Opened 30 minutes before leaving for restaurant. Magnificent wine. Gorgeous translucent red hue. 40 years old and the fruit is alive and focused. Earthy palate with great complexity and depth and a monster finish. A wine with soul!

Soft, elegant with aged cherry fruit, wonderful earthy notes and hints of tobacco and roses. It carries itself lightly, but has wonderful depth and persistence to it. Nicely acidic without being too juicy. Just lovely. A-
