August 8, 2020 - Another where reading the comments you wonder if they were drinking different wines. Really liked this blend. Rich dark fruit with complex flavors and long finish.

April 20, 2017 - Their calling card is being old school in a Napa that is increasingly about big fruit, big oak and big prices. And this reflects that philosophy reasonably well. The wine is pretty modest, emphasizing some bell pepper and green tobacco notes, and it's best thought of as a solid dinner pairing that won't outshine the food. How much you value modesty and restraint, versus how much you want some distinction and excitement in the glass, will probably go a long way to forming your overall impression of this wine.

  • EMark Does not like this wine:

March 17, 2016 - This is a Merlot-heavy Bordeaux blend and my first impression is that it is taking me back to the “bad old days” of Merlot—i.e., pre-“Sideways.” A pleasant enough berry nose. On the tongue, seriously green and viney. Sour around the edges of the tongue. Bitterness mid=palate. Once I swallow it, though, it has the great aftertaste of a perfectly charming wine.

October 31, 2015 - Better than my last bottle. Complex and well balanced.

September 29, 2015 - Fruit, oak, balanced, drinking well.
