  June 11, 2018 - Exceptional balance, no discernable tannins and a good step away from traditional Zins that push the fruit forward. Drinks morel like a thicker pinot and is good to drink with light snacks, or in our case, following a meal, even one that was accompanied by a cabernet. Surprisingly good.
  The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture, low acidity and a medium to long finish.

  January 1, 2018 - Very little fruit. Some nice leather and smokiness. Good acidity on the end. More red than purple, with a nice mouth feel. Not very interesting without some food.
  
  1/3/2019 Liked it better this time. Definitely all the characteristics of a bramble patch, but didn't note the big lack of fruit. Noted more of the soil and vegetation that goes with it. Not in a bad way.

  January 10, 2016 - Not your typical Zin. Not much fruit. Nice balance and smooth flavor. Not what I was expecting from a Zin.

  April 26, 2015 - I would recommend drinking now. This wine has a very soft nose, not much fruit left, and subtle leather and smoke. Agree with others that it drinks more like a Pinot. It wasn't bad with meatballs and pizza and, unbelievably, was great with tiramisu.
