January 4, 2014 - Decanted for 2 hrs. Nice smooth dark fruit (blueberry, blackberry, raisin) and spice & peppery tastes. Consistent taste throughout the bottle.

December 21, 2013 - Amarones are not easy wines, having a fortified character that makes them hard to pair with food. This stood out in a recent blind Valpolicella tasting with two perfect scores. Might sip it alone like a vintage port, or enjoy with gorgonzola and Brazil nuts
