February 28, 2024 - Three decades of Screaming Eagle: Still quite fresh and perfectly mature, even after two hours of air this didn't really budge. Nice blend of winter spices amd ripe fruit in the nose, wild red cherries and some black cherries mixed in, good minerality, great length. Delicious

December 24, 2023 - It has clean and bold blackcurrant, cassis, cedar notes with well managed tannins. But far too ripe, pruney, plummy to my taste.

December 23, 2023 - Big and bold with vanilla, dark currant, caramel and cinnamon. It had the finesse of the super high-end Napa cult but still not my style. Clearly disappointing for its price and pedigree.

October 8, 2023 - Absolutely delicious. Still has tannins and excellent rich fruit. Should continue to drink exceptionally for 5-10 more years. Prefer the 1997 by a whisker

May 4, 2020 - Very Bordeaux like, some sous bois and flint on nose , on palate tannins are soft , nice silky body, lots of fruit, hint of oak remains. Delicious wine. This particular bottle surprised me on how Bordeaux like it tasted

(Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon) Great blackberry, mint nose; seamless, sexy, pure blackberry, cassis, mint palate; long finish (much better than the bottle I had in '03)

(Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon) Screaming Eagle Vertical Tasting Dinner - '92-'99: Tight, subtle blackberry nose; tight, but well structured cherry, cassis fruit and strong tannins, secondary flavors of blackberry and eucalyptus; long finish (several of us noted, however, that it was the one vintage that seemed to fall apart with air time in the glass)
