June 15, 2022 - Plush and long in several dimensions; a welcoming intensity that nods liquor-like but pulls right back. Then the age provides all sorts of pleasing depth and interest to the entire fabric, balancing the sexy fruit with vascillating peeks of root vegetables, a soft and salty raspberry, a gouttelette of algae, and chocolate brownie. But the alcohol battles the depth on the midpalate. Incredibly long, playful dance of a finish. A soft, jucy, red-fruited cream of a wine. Outstanding for another couple of years (for my taste) or five of alluring evolution if you’d like more tertiary. Now-2023 or for an exciting evolution 2027.

August 24, 2018 - What a pinot! For all the nonbelievers about Cali Pinot, they haven't had this one. Bouquet of cherry cola. Entry of cherry cola and herb. Acidic and beautiful together. Finish of herbal red cherry cola. Best aged pinot I have had.

November 2, 2015 - Not as expressive as my last bottle of this. don't get me wrong very nice pinot. Just did"t have that ethereal quality i find in great examples of aged marcassin.

September 27, 2015 - light on it's feet with many layered waves of briar fruit. the acid balance just makes the wine float on you palette. Great wine.
