92-93 pts

December 4, 2022 - Beautiful bottle of wine and textbook Cote Rotie. Meaty, feral, bacon and olives, with classic violet notes giving a really pretty bouquet. Similar on the palate. Glad to have 2 more--should continue improving for 5-10 years.

February 25, 2022 - Enjoyable…very good in fact. Just would’ve preferred something a bit less tart. Maybe it was the young vines from this vineyard.

    August 1, 2019 - Mid+ garnet to crimson rim.
Gentle lifted bouquet of garrigue, wild lavender, aniseed and menthol.
There is a richly inviting palate with fennel, star anise, cistus, wild lavender, and black cherry on the entry. The acidity is fairly animated (stem inclusion?) and cuts nicely through the riper fruit. The mid-palate has a creaminess and good depth of flavour with tertiarys note of worn leather couch, tar, more aniseed and a touch of pepper. Good length with a dried herb note running through the length of the wine, giving it a slightly Rousillon twist. However, this is a far more serious wine with that touch of smoke and power to be Cote Rotie.

March 1, 2016 - Young vines but on a great site which was recently replanted. It's simple and zesty and straightforward in the way that young vines wines can be, but I really enjoy the blood orange and pepper aromatics which are very expressive. Not for keeping, though.
