June 5, 2017 - This, with two hours of air, is finally coming g out of its shell to show a gorgeous pencil shaving and cassis nose with some depth and richness. The midpalate is still coming together and the tannins are still dusty but this is elegant and delicious and has tremendous long term upside.

May 27, 2013 - Sonoma County April 28; 5/27/2013-5/28/2013: Stately aromas of cassis, tobacco, cocoa, blackberry, cedar. Lots of savory and oak notes on the palate- olive, roasted coffee, cedar, leather, with a little black currant fruit. Velvety and rich in feel with firm tannins and a lingering finish. Needs time for the fruit to emerge.
