  Notes: the number of Gros Domaine could make this wine a potential mix up with AF Gros who's Pommard based. I believe this is the wine of Anne Gros and it seems to be one of the first few vintages done by Anne. This bottle was perfect conditioned one and upon opening it's still relatively fresh and standing really well for its age, coming from a great vintage certainly helps with its longevity. Nevertheless, I did not find the nose to offer much elegance that is typical from a top class Burgundy (this also could be related to the lack of right glassware in the restaurant I was at yesterday). It seems that the wine, although being ready to drink now, could still age further but I would very much doubt if there could be further potential to it.

Sorry Al, and to all others who think they are furthering the knowledge base with this kind of drivel. Let's up our game here. We are better than this.   January 22, 2020 - Bright garnet in color, dark fruits, some stem, earth and matured nuance. Lifted acidity on palate, but there is ripe sweet fruits as balance, some spice and initial iron almost blood taint subsided after airing, hawthorne on finish hinting maturity.
