March 21, 2016 - Had in decanter for around 35 min as it came up to around 62F. Good QPR on this Stellenbosch wine. I found this offering a little thin compared to other red blends from this area, mainly due to the shiraz% compared to Cabernet Sauvignon backbone in other blends. Overall an above average wine with hints of smoke and leather. Be careful pairing this with fatty meats as it likely won't stand up. Better with chicken, pork, etc. Had touches of leather and smoke.
